Jeff's Blog1 Timothy 3:15 But if I should delay, that you may know how you ought to behave in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.
“What is truth?” This was the question Pilate asked Jesus. It was and is a very important question. Pilate was responding to Jesus’ statement, "You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world--to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.” For those of us who know Jesus, know that truth is more than a concept, a principle, or a fact, but truth is a person. Jesus said of Himself that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no man comes to the Father except through Him. We as members of the church of Jesus Christ are truly members of Christ’s body. The church is to be the pillar and foundation of the truth. We have a voice and it should be speaking truth. It should reflect Truth.
Yet in our culture today, we find that many organized church groups and church people have abandoned the Truth. Jesus said “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my word abides forever.” The litmus test for walking with and in the Truth is determined first and foremost by our agreement with the words of scripture and then with the obedience to those words in our lives. We need to return to Truth. We need to receive the love of the Truth. And as 3 John 1:4 says “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” Service OpportunitiesThe Melting Pot: Every 4th Wednesday of the month @ 11am @ Munsey Memorial United Methodist Wee PeopleWee People is our Sunday morning ministry to our beloved children. We have two classes, Wee Ones (ages 1-2) and Wee Schoolers (age 3-Kindergarten), in which we worship, learn and play together. We desire to welcome these little ones in the name of Jesus that we would welcome the One who sent Him (Mark 9:37). nameless youthnameless youth is a ministry of Hosanna Fellowship. We are commited to the first two commandments: loving God and loving people. Our desire is that we would be a people that shines like stars in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation as we hold out the Word of God. KIDS ChurchInformation about KIDS Church
