OUTREACH REPORT

JONESBOROUGH DAYS RECAP

On July 6th, the Hosanna Local Outreach (HLO) team took part in Jonesborough Days. The team gathered at the Corner Cup Café in Jonesborough to put together a plan for the day’s mission. Our goal was to reach into the community to spread the love of Jesus and to pray for the sick and to see salvations.
Those who took part in the mission were:

We decided to split up into pairs and walk the event. We didn’t have a tent or table set up for this mission trip. Jim, Bill, Dave, and Tony walked Main Street and Ramona and Michele went to the Visitor’s Center. We think spreading out worked very well so we weren’t approaching all the same people.
We gave away 150 small American flags and 128 Christian slap bracelets. We also had Christian stickers, glow sticks, and lollipops to hand out. These small giveaways made approaching the children and adults much easier. As we handed out the giveaways, we asked the adults if they had any prayer needs. We had a great response and were able to pray for a variety of their needs, including healing.
In the future, we would like to continue the small giveaway items and the team approach. We hope to recruit some strong prayer warriors to work as part of the team.
Despite the heat, we all felt that this mission trip was a great success!
