Micah Crews - Elder of Hosanna
Micah@hosannafellowship.org
Micah is the son and grandson of a pastor. He surrendered his life to Jesus Christ at the age of four. His testimony is one of standing on the Word of God and seeking an intimate relationship with Him. Micah is focused on walking in obedience to God’s calling on his life. This calling involves ministering to God’s people in the church and in business. Micah has worked in higher education administration for more than 20 years. He has been involved in ministry through Hosanna for nearly as long. Micah has served in the children’s ministry, drama ministry (called Acting Up and Acting Out), home group ministry, and as an elder since 2012.
Micah and his wife, Amy, help to lead the Sullivan County home group which is focused on coming together in a holy community, experiencing passionate worship, focused Bible study, and caring for each other as brothers and sisters in Christ.
Amy continues to serve in the children’s ministry while Micah works to set down on paper what God is teaching him. Micah published his first book on discipleship in 2018. He continues to write plays and dramatic skits for the church to use during worship which includes original productions of What I’m Looking For – An Easter Musical, The Promise of Christmas, and A Night in the Stable.
Micah believes that Jesus wants to use the arts to spread the Gospel as an instrument of evangelism, discipleship, and worship. It is the responsibility of the church to worship the Lord using the arts and proclaim Truth in Love through photography, painting, sculpture, dance, music, theatre, film, and more.
Micah and Amy live in Virginia with their two children, two fish, and one cat.
